The Sun

After school
Walking home
Fresh dirt under my fingernails
And I can smell hot asphalt
Cars screech to a halt to let me pass A
nd I cannot remember
What life was like through photographs
Trying to recreate images life gives us from our past

And sometimes it's a sad song

But I cannot forget
Refuse to regret
So glad I met you
Take my breath away
Make everyday
Worth all of the pain that I have
Gone through
And mama I've been cryin'
Cause things ain't how they used to be
She said the battles almost won
And we're only several miles from the sun

Moving on down the street
I see people I won't ever meet
Think of her, take a breath
Feel the beat in the rhythm of my steps

And sometimes it's a sad song

But I cannot forget
Refuse to regret
So glad I met you
Take my breath away
Make everyday
Worth all of the pain that I have
Gone through
And mama I've been cryin'
Cause things ain't how they used to be
She said the battles almost won
And we're only several miles from the sun

The rhythm of her conversation
The perfection of her creation
The sex she slipped into my coffee
The way she felt when she first saw me
Hate to love and love to hate her
Like a broken record player
Back and forth and here and gone
And on and on and on and on
~*~"The Sun" Maroon 5

Can't sleep. Don't have anywhere to be tonight (for once), but I can't sleep. I'm used to being awake at this time. Actually, I haven't even been home at this time of night for a week now. I won't go to bed for a few hours, at least.

So after dinner tonight I went out for a while by myself. Went over to the the library to pick up a few books. I got the Fantasticks and Bye Bye Birdie soundtracks too. Then I stopped off at Walgreens and got Arizona green tea (one of my fave. non-alcoholic drinks ever!), some orbit gum, and eclipse mints cause those are the best. {I know this is all just so fascinating to all of you readers out there. ;) hah.} On my way back home I met Karli and Lauryn, who I hadn't seen in ages, so we talked for like half an hour, even though it was really fucking humid and I really wanted to go take a shower. It wasn't hot today, but it was really humid. My hair got all curly and frizzy and gross. I bet Emilie's hair stayed nice and pretty and straight though. She's so lucky!

So I've been messing with my computer trying to get my new ipod mini to work, but apparently my computer's software is too old. So I can't transfer any music right now. Should be going over to Molly's later to take hers instead. Half her stuff is from me anyway - either I got her interested in it, or I bought her the cd or whatever. Anywho.

Oh my god! Tons of pop-ups! Ahhh! lol. Seriously though, I'm getting one every 2 seconds. It's crazy. And making this take a long time. Granted, I don't have much specifically to write about. But I feel like writing nonetheless.

I'm thinking of starting another blog for my poetry stuff. I think that would be cool. I do actually have a website for it all, but I'm so far behind in updating that. My computer was being crap and I couldn't use rich text editor, and since I don't know HTML, I couldn't edit/create new pages. So maybe I'll go work on that and then come back here with an update of a link or something.

Real quick I want to share a quote - "But people can't, unhappily, invent their mooring post, their lovers and their friends, anymore than they can invent their parents. Life gives these and also takes them awa and the great difficulty is to say Yes to life. " - Giovanni's Room, James Baldwin. I find that quite an interesting statement. Drop me a comment to let me know what you think.

Yellow

Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
Yeah, they were all yellow.

I came along,
I wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,
And it was called "Yellow."

So then I took my turn,
Oh what a thing to have done,
And it was all "Yellow."

Your skin
Oh yeah, your skin and bones,
Turn into something beautiful,
You know, you know I love you so,
You know I love you so.

I swam across,
I jumped across for you,
Oh what a thing to do.

Cos you were all "Yellow,"
I drew a line,
I drew a line for you,
Oh what a thing to do,
And it was all "Yellow."

Your skin,
Oh yeah your skin and bones,
Turn into something beautiful,
And you know for you,
I'd bleed myself dry for you,
I'd bleed myself dry.

It's true, look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine for you,
Look how they shine.

Look at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And all the things that you do

Didn't get around to posting last night *this morning* cause even though I went online when I got home, I was downloading an update and so my computer was too slow to let me post. BTW if I actually made those lyrics yellow you wouldn't be able to read them.

Had a good time last night. Hung out at Mike Padden's until about 1:30. Mike T. drove me there and home of course. We just sat around talking for a long time. Even though we got out earlier because the play was at 7:30, we stayed longer than usual. It was fun. I got to spend a couple hours playing with Mike T.'s hair. He has nice hair for running your fingers through. lol.

In between shows we went to Fuddruckers, which was cool, but most of the people who went ate too much food and it made for an interesting performing experience. To the other actors and actresses out there who read this, I'll tell you based on others' experiences - don't eat a lot before a show. Especially not those burgers that everyone had. It's not a good idea. ;)

Had 2 good shows yesterday. I'm sorry the first weekend is over already. I'm gonna miss seeing these people all the time. Like already it's wierd that I'm not seeing them for 5 days or whatever. I can't imagine what it will be like after the show is over. This certainly isn't the role I want to play forever, because I hate looking so young and having so few lines, but I do hope a summerfest next year all my fave. people will be back and I'll have a bigger part. That would be awesome. I really hope Mike, Emilie, Tina, Reid, and Mike come back. They're all a lot of fun. But we'll see, I guess. We'll see.

Hopefully I'll be going to see The Fantastiks the first week in August before I leave for New York. Mike and Mike are in it and I want to go see them! I know I'm going to Anne of Green Gables on the 19th. I'll get to see Cara in that, which will be fun. (She plays Hodel in our production, for those who don't know.) Then hopefully later in the month I can go up and see Frank in his show in Woodale, "Love, Sex, and the IRS." I was helping him run lines yesterday and the show seems really funny. I love Frank. He's so fucking hilarious.

Look at this. I go from no posts at all to posting almost every day, and these are long posts too. Hmh. Just feeling talkative I guess. But it's all good.

I went to bed around 4 last night *this morning* and had to get up at 8 for Project SAM. This is the last week! Thank goodness. I don't know how much more of those kids I can take. So I took a nap this afternoon for about 2 1/2 hours. That was nice. I haven't taken a nap in a long time.

I can't wait for the show this weekend. I had so much fun I just want to do it again. We're a partying kind of people and we go out every night. It's awesome. Sunday night will be sad. So we won't think about that for now. Saturday night will be fun... people are coming over here to hang out. And I won't be kicking them out at any time of night. ;)

Ok well it's about time for me to go eat. Maybe more late tonight. We'll see how tired I am and what I'm up to. I don't know what my plans are. Give me a call if you wanna hang out - cell 306-8992

Midnight Show

We were just in time
Let me take a little more off your mind
There's something in my hair
Somewhere in the back says
We were just a good thing
We were such a good thing
Make it go away without a word
But promise me you'll stay and fix these things I'm hurt
Oh make it go away
I drive faster boy
Crashing time can't hide a guilty girl
With jealous hearts that start with gloss and curls
I took my baby’s breath beneath the chandelier
Of stars in atmosphere
And watched her disappear
Into the midnight show
~*~"Midnight Show" The Killers

Felt appropriate, because I had my own little midnight show tonight. ;)

Went out to Applebee's again. Rode with Mike P. tonight. He is like a god on earth. He gave me the greatest massage of my life. Seriously it's almost sinful to talk about. Now I know what Dimples (lol) was talking about. Dimples is Mike Tippeli. But we call him that because we can. Plus it will be less confusing for my purposes than talking about 2 Mike's.

Dimples didn't go out with us tonight. He had to go home to his family or something. So I sat with Frank, Judy, Bernie, and Jaime at dinner. Frank is fucking hilarious. And what the hell, he worked with Sean Hayes at a theatre back in the '90s! He was like... yeah I should be getting my card from Sean in a couple days. (His birthday is on Saturday.)

I just got up to watch the TV guide channel, and I'm like, isn't there any good shit on? Answer: NO! Why am I not surprised? *The best kind of prize is a SURprize!*

So next Saturday I'm having people over to my house to hang out after the show. It's gonna kick ass. Theatre people are the best in the world, cause they just love to do what you do. I can't connect to most people the way I do with castmates. (Not including teen workshop crap. Most of those people make me want to actually commit suicide, as happens so often in the plays I'm cast in.) Anywho. Yeah.

Oh man. It's an infomercial for contry superstars. That's unfortunate. Very. Whatever. I still have no good movies down here. It may have to be Nemo again tonight cause I'm not tired at all. I wish I had people I could call right now. I bet at least a third of the cast is up. I could name them, but you guys don't know who they are, so... Yeah.

Oooh. I'm gonna go have a mudslide. We have the mix in the fridge... I'll just add some ice cream. So more later maybe guys. My sleep schedule is so fucked. But I couldn't care less.

You & I Both

Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me
Oh things are gonna happen naturally
And taking your advice I'm looking on the bright side
And balancing the whole thing
But often times those words get tangled up in lines
And the bright lights turn to night
Until the dawn it brings
A little bird who'll sing about the magic that was you and me

Cause you and I both loved
What you and I spoke of
What you and I spoke of
Others only dream of the love that I love

See I'm all about them words
Over numbers, unencumbered numbered words
Hundreds of pages, pages, pages forwards
More words then I had ever heard and I feel so alive
Now you and I, you and I
Not so little you and I anymore
And with this silence brings a moral story more importantly evolving is the glory of a boy

you and I both loved what you and I spoke of and others just read of
and if you could see now well I'm already finally out of

and it's okay if you have go away
just remember the telephone works both ways
and if I never ever hear it ring
if nothing else I'll think the bells inside
have finally found you someone else and that's okay
cause I'll remember everything you sang

you and I both loved what you and I spoke of
and others just read of and if you could see now
well I'm already finally out of words.
~*~"You & I Both" Jason Mraz

I don't actually listen to Jason Mraz. But Mike was listening to it tonight so I had to put one on here just cause people were making fun of him for it. lol. Anyway.

I just got home. After the show tonight some of us went out to Applebee's to eat cause we were all so damn hungry after the show. Plus it was just fun. And I didn't want to go home. So now everyone here is sleeping, which is good cause I'm wide awake, which brings me here.

Thanks Mike for driving me around. And Emilie's right. Your car does smell nice. ;) Good stuff. I hope I have a nice car like you someday. Or a... haha like I'd say that online! Anywho.

So we had a good time. Let's see... who went... me, Mike, Emilie, Tina, Reid, Judy, Bernie, Frank, Mike P., Andrew, and Stephanie. I think we're going out again tomorrow... more people will go then, when they're not so tired. But I guess we're the hard core or whatever. hah. But it's nice to be going out with people rather than sitting at home, cause all my friends are too lazy to do anything.

The show was awesome tonight. Everyone did a really good job, and I didn't fuck up any props. Thanks Em for reminding me about the shirt. I was so worried something with the props was gonna go wrong. Now I know why Chris was always double and triple checking his stuff during the season. You get really nervous! But yeah, the show was awesome. We had a sold out house that was a really great audience.

Wow they play shit music videos at this time of the morning. Normally I'd be watching a movie, but they're all in my room which is currently occupied by my sleeping grandmother. So I'll leave that alone for the night. But I've got to find something else. I can't listen to rap. Sorry. Anywho. (Everyone else's movies are down here so I put on Finding Nemo.)

Wow. I feel really talkative tonight. Guys I leave in 2 weeks for New York! I'm so excited. But I have a shitload of homework to do before I go, because when I get back I'll have like a week till school. But that's boring shit I don't wanna talk about.

So let's see... what's interesting to talk about? Not much really. Oh. I went to the Art Institute today. It actually wasn't bad. Rachael and I didn't have to watch any kids, so we wandered around, and then went with Etel to visit David Perkovich's shop (you non-theatre people don't know who he is). He has a cool artsy store. So then after we were done there, we went to the architechture store and the orchestra store. It was really awesome. The only thing that sucked was the school-bus ride home with 20 screaming children. Ugh. All in all it wasn't bad though.

I'm just not tired!!! AAAGGGHHH. What the fuck... Can't sleep. I really need to though. Oh look. My buddy list is alerting me that my away message is on. How nice. Like I didn't know. Thanks. Whatever. This post is gonna seem like a piece of shit if I read it later. Too bad.

I wish I had a bunch of interesting things to write about... Like I was out with cool people doing cool things. Actually I was! And I wrote about it! Wow. Ok well then I guess I'm done for now. Yay! Pretty colors! Oh and happy birthday to Dan, who's 16 today!

Wonka's Welcome Song

Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...
The amazing chocolatier
Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...
Everybody give a cheer
(Hooray!)

He's modest, clever, and so smart,
He barely can retain it.
With so much generosity,
There is nowhere to contain it...
To contain it... to contain... to contain... to contain.

Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...
He's the one that you're about to meet
Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka...
He's a genius who just can't be beat,
A magician and a chocolate wiz...
The best darn guy who ever lived.
Willy Wonka here he is!
~*~"Wonka's Welcome Song" Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Hey guys. So glad I can finally post. I haven't been online in a couple weeks. Between Project SAM, Fiddler rehearsal, and the home introduction I had on Sunday, I've had no time for anything else.

Thursday night Molly, my mom, and I went to a midnight showing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It was so awesome! I'm going to see it again tomorrow. Yay! It's really really funny. Just truly ridiculous. But of course that's Johnny.

Then on Friday night after rehearsal Jamie and I met Molly and Borders for the Harry Potter party thing. I wanted to go to the one in Oak Park, but obviously with rehearsal, we didn't have time to get there. We had a good time anyway, and I bought Cry Baby on dvd and the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory soundtrack.

I was extremely busy on Saturday, cleaning and such. The Empire guys came to put down new carpet in the basement and then we had to clean up for Sunday. I had very little time to read on Saturday and Sunday. So Monday I shot through several hundred pages of the book, both at Project SAM and at Jaime's house in the evening, and then I finished it this morning. Quite depressing, I know. I should have read the whole thing on Saturday as I alwats do, but I didn't have the time. It sucked. But now I'm done. It was sooo good. I can't wait for the next one. Of course it was shocking and I cried cause... well I won't spoil it so soon. You guys get a while to catch up. When I do want to talk about it, I'll make it the grey that matches the background. That means you have to highlight it if you want to read it.

Anywho. I open on Friday. Hopefully things will slow down then. My grandma got here today. She'll be here for 2 weeks for Sam's birthday on Thursday.

I'm tired and it's late. I gotta be up early tomorrow for work and I haven't been getting much sleep. More when I have time.

To anonymous, if you want to talk to me (because I can't talk to you if I don't know who you are), send me an e-mail or call me or IM me. I wanna talk!

The Complex

I work on the highest floor
There's nothing in my way.
But I saw my picture
On the bathroom door today.
I don't feel like working anymore,
Is that ok?
I'm so far in I can't get out
I made it to the highest floor
By working every day
But I can't remember anymore
What it was like play.
If I could only find the exit door
I'd run away.
I'm so far in I can't get out.
~*~"The Complex" Blue Man Group

Hey guys. So I haven't posted in a long time! But you all know I've been busy.

The beginning of June was filled with learning last minute lines for The Children's Hour and cleaning because Leslie was coming. I had tons of rehearsals the week before the play. My first Fiddler rehearsal was on the 7th.

Leslie came on the 9th. (Johnny's birthday!!!) We went to see I Love you, You're Perfect, Now Change that night at the Royal George Theatre near Steppenwolf. That was pretty cool.

My play went pretty well on the 11th. Sadly, hardly any of my friends showed up. But thanks to Becca, Heather, Amanda, Bev, and Dan for coming, as well, of course, as my family.

Leslie stayed until the 14th. We went downtown almost every day and had lots of fun doing stuff. It was really hot every day, but that's ok. We went on a boat tour on the river that was really neat.

Anywho. So after Leslie left, I had a couple days of downtime. Then on the 17th, 18th, and 19th I had my Landmark advanced course which was super cool. For those of you who remember, this was a continuation of the forum I did in January. (For a refresher, read the Sunday, January 23rd post, Summer, Highland Falls) So Nia and I had a really good time and met a lot of uber cool people. I want everyone to do the forum! You all should be getting invitations to my home introduction... It will be awesome.

Anywho. Project SAM started Monday, that was fun. We have a small group this year. I know most of the kids from before. Rachael and I are teaching creative writing. That's pretty cool. I met our new dance teacher on Wednesday. Her name is Kate. She's young and funky.

I've also been keeping busy with Fiddler rehearsals. Those are lots of fun. We've got a good group of people. So I don't mind coming 4 nights a week in addition to my 3 mornings. That's a lot of time at the theatre.

Been having a Blue Man Group spree. I have both of their CDs and the DVD from the library (cause I'm cheap, remember). It's so awesome! I can't wait to go see them again. I'll probably go with Heather, and Amanda, maybe Zoe and Brianna. We'll see who's available.

Went to see The Servant of Two Masters on Friday night. That was pretty cool. Very funny. If you want to go tonight, it's at 7:30 outside ITC. Go. It's entertaining.

Babysat until 3 last night. 10 hours, guys. That's a long time. I watched BMG 3 times after the kids went to bed, to keep me awake. And I started reading Wicked. Cool book. Can't wait to see the play!

Wow. So that's what I'm up to. Lots of writing, I know. Hopefully I'll post again soon.

She Said

Life's river shall rise
She Said
And only the strong shall survive
She Said
But I'm feeling quite weak
She Said
Will you comfort and forgive me
She Said

She said she's still searching

So summer is already quite busy. Jake came over on Friday and we had fun just hanging around. We took Kramer for a bike ride through Central Park and past my theatre. When we got back, Jake made me lunch. I appreciate people who take foods class. Yay! We watched Finding Neverland, and then he went home so he wouldn't be here when my dad got home. ;)
Friday night I babysat Rachel and Joey for about 5 hours or so. Watched PotC many times. hehe. Good stuff.

Saturday Molly came over and we painted for many hours. Even after she lefy I painted some more. Lots of painting has been going on this weekend. But my room is starting to look pretty cool!

Sunday I went to church and rehearsed with Bev afterwards. I'm feeling pretty good about my audition. Yay! I will have so much fun on that production... I love Frank!

Today Molly came over to help me paint some more. There's still some left to do, that I'll have to do myself, but it's looking good. The closet is gonna be awesome. I still have to figure out what exactly I'm doing on the walls. It'll be interesting. That's for sure.

Anywho. I have plenty to do... Lines to rehearse, songs to sing, and things to paint, so I'm off. More as soon as I can!

Thank You For Loving Me

It's hard for me to say the things
I want to say sometimes
There's no one here but you and me
And that broken old street light
Lock the doors
We'll leave the world outside
All I've got to give to you
Are these five words when I

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
For parting my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me
Thank you for loving me

I never knew I had a dream
Until that dream was you
When I look into your eyes
The sky's a different blue
Cross my heartI wear no disguise
If I tried, you'd make believe
That you believed my lies

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
For parting my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me

You pick me up when I fall down
You ring the bell before they count me out
If I was drowning you would part the sea
And risk your own life to rescue me

Lock the doors
We'll leave the world outside
All I've got to give to you
Are these five words when I

Thank you for loving me
For being my eyes
When I couldn't see
You parted my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me
When I couldn't fly
Oh, you gave me wings
You parted my lips
When I couldn't breathe
Thank you for loving me

I love the guy. And that CD is awesome. Anywho. So updates!

What the fuck? How did I forget to tell you guys on Wednesday? I saw Blue Man Group on Tuesday! It was amazing! I've never seen anything like it. Well, because there is nothing like it. It's so wierd! But I had tons of fun. We had to park a little ways, around a couple blocks, so we got to walk through part of boys town. It was awesome. I got a cool shirt with a blue man face on the back. Cool stuff. Would love to go again sometime! It was just like... wow. It's an hour 45 with no intermission, but it doesn't matter. The show goes by so fast. Crazy fabulous.

Leslie will be here in less than 2 weeks! My goddess. That's soon. And my play's coming far too quickly for my liking. Still don't know all my lines. What will I do? Well I have plenty of time on my hands this weekend to practice. That, and my audition song. Joy!

Painting my room tomorrow. It's gonna be fabulous! Yay! My mom and I bought paint last night. I'm excited. It'll also be something else to keep me busy over the weekend.

Got done with all my finals and school! Yay! And guess what? I got an A in biology. Woot woot! So I think I got straight A's once again. Hooray!

Anywho. I've been on for quite some time now. Been up since 7:30 (don't know why, couldn't sleep), and I haven't eaten. So bye guys! Gimme a call. I've got a cell for the weekend too, through tuesday, so let it ring! 306-8993 yay!

Crystal Ball

Sometimes I'd like to sit and gaze for days through sleepless dreams

All alone and trapped in time

All alone and trapped in time

I wonder what tomorrow has in mind for me

Or am I even in it's mind at all

Perhaps I'll get a chance to look ahead and see

Soon as I find myself a crystal ball

Soon as I find myself a crystal ball

Tell me, tell me where I'm going

I don't know where I've been

Tell me, tell me, won't you tell me

And then tell me again

My heart is breaking, my body's aching

And I don't know where to go

Tell me, tell me, won't you tell me

I've just got to know

Crystal ball

There's so many things I need to know

Crystal ball

There's so many things I've got to know

Crystal ball

If you should see me walking

Through your dreams at night

Would you please direct me

Where I ought to be

I've been looking for a crystal ball

To shed the ligh

tTo find a future in me...

To find a future in me...

Hey guys. So I have about 10 minutes, and I'm trying to check e-mail at the same time so we'll see how much I can get done.

The first day of finals was okay. Geography sucked because Goranson is an incompetent teacher who probably doesn't know what that word means. But anyway. Spanish was okay, just a little confusing. Geometry was easy. Tomorrow I have Crafts and Biology. I've already finished my crafts final project though, so I can study for Bio the whole time! Oh joy!

So I went and saw Kicking and Screaming today with my mom, brother, Mike, and Nia. It was a really predicatable movie, but the kids were cute and amusing enough. The whole point was to go see a movie I wouldn't normally see. So there ya go.

So I'm not sure, but I think there may be a slight suicide watch going on in my house. A certain someone said something to their mom about me, who said something to my mom, who said something to me. It's crazy. But guess what, guys, I don't want to die. So don't worry about it. Oy.

John & Jen ended last night. It was sad. Chris is taking another job, so that was his last show. Plus I won't get to see Peter and Kelly all the time, or be at ITC practically every day. But oh well. Moving on to focusing on my play! Geez. And Fiddler auditions!

Speaking of which, Bev is gonna help me. Hopefully I'll get a part and you can all come see me. Frank is choreographing, so I'll get to work with him, if i'm in it. Yay!

All for now, I've got to eat and do chores and stuff. What fun, I know. You can always call me!

Through the Trees

A place that's overflowing
Where buildings touch the sun
A place where I can be someone
And noone
~*~"Introduction to Hold Down the Fort" John & Jen

I didn't want to use the title of the song for the title of this post, because it's stupid. So I looked out the window and the first thing I saw became the title. Yay, crazy reasoning!

Anywho. So things are crazy right now. Just want to let everyone know I am ok. Don't really have time to write, because I'm so busy. But I'll try to keep in touch!

Let It Be

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be.
Yeah there will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.
~*~"Let it Be" The Beatles

How amazing are they? Amazing, let me tell you. Ok. I'm done with that now. Hehe. Anywho.

Lots is going on (isn't it always?) I'm so busy. Saturday was fun. Molly, Nia, and Stephanie came over to see the play and spend the night. Stephanie had to go home, but we still had fun.

Oh but I skipped Friday! Oh my gosh. I saw Alan on opening night! Yay! We had a good time talking before and after the show. He knows Kelly from a long time ago, I guess. Kelly is the lead actress in the show, by the way. It was so good to see him.
Before that though, I was out cruizing with Tommy. We went to Crete in his car and drove around. Got some veggie burgers at Burger King (I didn't even know they had those there!) and went to have a picnic in the cemetary and then it rained. We got back to the theatre around 6:40 and I found Alan backstage with Etel, Kelly, and Peter (guy in the show) and so I just hung out back there until there was stuff to do.
Jeny and Maria's show opened, and so there's talk of me taking the train up there and meeting Alan at Randolph street so he can drive us up to see it in Rockford. My mom wants to talk to Etel first. I dunno.

Anywho. So I found out on Thursday that I'm going to be inducted into Spanish Honor Society, which is cool, and I filled out my card and have 29 Thespians points, so tonight I'm going to an induction dinner for that. Racheal's working backstage for me. Fun stuff, yay!

I think that's about all for now. 4 weeks to my play, people! I'll have tickets starting next Thursday - $5 each, just so you know. You can get them at the door, if you want, but I will also be selling them, so let me know if you want one. :)

I love them
with you
dozen a day
but after a while I wonder
where's that love you promised me?
where is it?

probably love

how can you offer me love like that?
my heart's burned
how can you offer me love like that?
I'm exhausted

Hey all. So it's been a while since I've posted, but what else is new? Actually, a lot is new. So let's get to it!

Con was awesome. Had lots of fun and no sleep. It was so good to see all my friends! And it was fun being on phoof patrol, and run for DYSC and AYC. Joy! Seniors, you will be missed. Skunk, we love you! Danny, you deserved it. Haha, Chris, I have your picture, so now I have your soul. Thanks Sammy!

So I'm working on a show at ITC now, John & Jen - you should all come see it! It's a musical and lots of good fun! Plus I can probably get you in free! That's the best stuff, right? Yeah!
Anywho. As a result, I will have no life for the rest of this week and the 2 weeks after it. Do call and leave messages though, I'll get back to you all, I promise. And don't foget my birthday next week - I know you love me!

There was an o-so-joyous award ceremony tonight. Anybody else sick of those? Like, they call you up, agonizingly one by one, so they can shake your hand and give you a piece of paper. This piece of paper will then join your collection, in the bottom of your desk drawer, where it sits until you clean it out (it that ever happens). Either way, they still end up back in the drawer for ever and after. And do they really expect that plaque to go up on my wall? YEAH RIGHT!

Anywho. Guess who I saw today? Ryan Rudolph! Yeah, amazing I know. What a throwback to... last year! Hah. Don't really wanna go there. Anyway. I saw him and his dad backstage, cause they had to come pick up something they left from their show at ITC on Saturday. Woot! (not really. no actually I don't know. I wasn't there.)

Yeah well I guess that's about all for now. It's almost time for Family Guy! Yay! (Did you see the new episode on Sunday?! Yay! New episodes!) Yeah. Okay I think I'm done now.

Wednesday

Nothing here to fear
I'm just sitting around
being foolish when there
is work to be done
Jjust a hang-up call
and the quiet breathing
of our Persian
we call Cajun on a Wednesday

so we go from year to year
with secrets we've been
keeping
Though you say you're
not a Templar man

Seems as if we're
circling for very
different reasons
But one day the Eagle
has to land

Out past the fountain
a left by the station
I start the day
in the usual way
Then think
-- well why not --
and stop for a coffee
then begin to recall
things that you say

No one's at the door
You suggest a ghost
perhaps a phantom
I agree with this in part
Something is with us
I can't put my
finger on --
is Thumbalina size 10
on a Wednesday --
~*~"Wednesday" Tori Amos

Oh my gosh, I'm posting 2 days in a row! What has gotten into me?! Or rather, how in the world did I get my parents to let me get online 2 days in a row? I have no idea.

Anywho. So yeah. No school today. But I was over at Jordan's from 11 to 5, working on the geometry project. Ok, we worked on the priject from 12:30 to 4. Close enough. You can't expect us to work all the time!

I wonder what I've done wrong. For you see, in ways unknown to others, I am punished for their actions. Because they get in trouble, I can't hang out with them. So then what am I to do? I write poems. Long laments about all sorts of things, that I later feel stupid for writing. But whatever.

Isn't it strange how peopel change over time? And so much, in ways you could never imagine. Even when you think things are so predictable, life is never for sure, and all the sudden things are different. It's the wierdest things that do it too. I don't know. It's a mystery.

Gotta go. IT's getting late and I've been on a while.

So I actually have a little time to write tonight. Not much, of course, but a bit.

The play was awesome, and I am proud to declare Disco is dead! Thank goodness. I had a good time with the play, but it is nice to be done with that so I can focus on other things, like The Children's Hour, which has sneaked up on me quite quickly while I wasn't looking. Plus there is plenty of homework to do before finals. Only 20 more days of school though! And we have tomorrow and Thrusday off. How nice. For once, I appreciate standardized testing. Yay!

I'll be off to Wisconsin this weekend - Spring Con '05! This will be my 5th con... it feels like just yesterday I was a virgin getting foophed (p. fOOFed) in St. Louis... Yet it was a whole year ago! I was there with Kat... and she and I have been at every con together since then. She'll miss this one though... but I've been over that, so I won't go there again. I can't wait to see Carly! I miss her so much!

So right now I'm just chillin' talking to Leslie and Jake, and listening to the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack! It's so nice. Good times. I'll do my homework tomorrow or something. I do have to go over to Jordan's to work on my geometry project with her and Sarah. What fun, right? Right? Of course. haha. Yeah right!

Let me add a little chat between me and Jake: I find it entertaining enough!
ACraZyWhiteBoy88: Linz....stop doing stuff to peoples brains

ACraZyWhiteBoy88: "GREATLY dislike the non-gay male population"
ACraZyWhiteBoy88: Pssh, if I was gay i wouldnt be as much fun as I am
DangerousDepp319: oh you're reading my blog?
DangerousDepp319: haha
DangerousDepp319: i'm like that! i have telekinesis or whatever!DangerousDepp319: i mean... wait. that's moving things
ACraZyWhiteBoy88: Then what am i thinking?!?1DangerousDepp319: nvm
ACraZyWhiteBoy88: Physcic^
DangerousDepp319: yeah sure. but not quite.
DangerousDepp319: i'm posessive or something
ACraZyWhiteBoy88: yes...exactly

Yeah well, I think that's enough for now. I hope you all enjoy! This one is actually a lot.

Recoil

come home and my guitar
has nothin to say to me
i recoil from all my friends
and then i'm in misery
been so long since i've been held
really since i was his
probably just need to be held
that's probably all it is

course, then i think of my dad
who time travels mostly now
back to when he was free
and holding out hope somehow
who sits all day in a line
of wheelchairs against a wall
inventing ways to play out time
like us all
like us all

to all the people out there tonight
who are comforting themselves
if you should happen to see my light
you can stop and ring my bell
i'm just sittin here in this sty
strewn with half written songs
taking one breath at a time
nothin much going on
nothin much going on

little flashing zeroon my answering machine
rats scratching at my brain
brain shuffling its feet
yes i have my father's heart
it may or may not keep on trying
can't really tell you what it is
keeps me this side of that dark line
but i'm not there to take care of him
and i'm not here to take care of me
i'm going outside to watch the house burn down
across the street
i'm going outside to watch the house burn down
across the street
~*~"Recoil" Ani DiFranco

Hi guys! Look I'm on again already! Guess what I have decided? I currently GREATLY dislike the non-gay male population (because I always love the gay population!) Grrr boys! Sorry. Having a few issues with some of the boys in my life. Though I will say Jake impressed me today. I don't know if that had anything to do with his talk with Jordan yesterday, but he actually apologized today. Yay!

On the other hand, there's still "the boy" and Alonzo... argh! stupid boys! (Yeah Jordan, it's my turn to be bitter)

Whatever. I'll just keep watching my Johnny movies and Rocky Horror. (I heart Tim Curry!)

There's a con next weekend. I can't wait. I miss Carly and Jamie and everybody! Of course, many people will be at the Marwood reunion, because for some reason, some idiot planned 2 UU youth events for the same weekend. There's a genuine stroke of genius for you.

Anyway. I think I'm done. I've got stuff to do before Family Guy. Such an awesome show!

Mystery Train

There are days when she's a whisper

Nights when she's a scream

A reason to wake up in the morning

To close your eyes and dream

She'll curse you like a sailor

She'll wound you with her eyes

She always makes it better

But she won't apologize

I know everything about her but don't know her at all

Chorus:

She's a ride on a mystery train

To a place you've never been before

Better hold on tight to that mystery train

You're not in Kansas anymore

She's a ride

Mystery train

Look! I'm posting! I know it's been a long time. Always is. I was so busy though! I still am. In fact, I've really got to go now. Just wanted to say hi to everyone and let you know I'm alive. Having a good time with everything. Saw the Frog and Toad cast yesterday. It was awesome!

Happy birthday Michael! I love you so much!

Best of Me

Tell me what you thought about when
You were gone and so alone
The worst part's over
You can have the best of me
We got older
But we're still young
We never grew out of this feeling
That we won't give up.
~*~"Best of Me" don't know the band. Help!

I tried to post this earlier but my stupid computer was being lame. So now you get a recap version. (not nearly as much fun.)

Last post: a long time ago! confusing? leave it. bad place. don't wanna go back there

brother: at 11, should I have to tell him to take a shower? i didn't think so.

Leslie: she's coming she's coming! yay!

Me: in a strange mood. and now tired too.

Spring break: good. 2 weeks in Florida = me still pale as paper. that + short +icky braces = obvious reason i don't have a boyfriend. or girlfriend. But I won't go there.

Well, I guess that was fun enough. Short and concise. maybe it's better that way.

Love to all cause love is good. (Even the boy. I'm NOT mailcious. Haha. I spelled it right too!)
